Breamlea Coast Action is an active group of volunteers and supporters who live or visit the small community of Breamlea. The group works to protect the unique environment of Breamlea which includes wetlands, saltmarsh, moonah woodlands, sand dunes and the estuary of Thompsons Creek.
Ongoing projects include rehabilitation of the moonah woodlands, hooded plover and migratory bird monitoring, control of significant coastal weeds. Breamlea Coast Action holds activities to raise awareness and to educate residents, holiday-makers and visitors about the local flora and fauna and the threats to these. Interest and support from new members is greatly encouraged.
